"There's never been a more important time to Demystify Diversity and this book does what it says on the cover. Providing a step by step guide to navigating the often confusing territory of equality, diversity and inclusion it is a must for all leaders, managers, individuals who are committed to their own development, the development of others and overall business success.

It starts with the basics and provides a solid foundation for understanding how our beliefs, values and attitudes are shaped and how these can lead to prejudice, discrimination and unconscious bias. I know, as a leadership and talent specialist, how, with the best intentions, we can be clumsy and make poor decisions...

Packed with stories and practical examples this book lays out familiar relatable scenarios which make it easy for the reader to quickly get the message. I particularly enjoyed the examples given in the cognitive diversity chapter. They made it is easy to see the benefits for a business but can also lead to simple everyday misunderstandings unless we take time to appreciate the other person's perspective/ cognitive capabilities."

"Diversity is a topic that affects us all, but it’s also one that is complex and often misunderstood...

Demystifying Diversity broaches the subject at a very human level, providing background and theory before going on to consider what that may mean for you and me. The authors have considered the needs of everyday people, particularly those who have to manage others or run successful organisations, bringing greater understanding and increased confidence to a topic that can often confuse.”

– From the Foreword by Peter Horrocks CBE

--------

“....an accessible, engaging and thoughtful book which addresses a range of potentially complex and contentious subjects in a quite unique way.”

"Fearless and illuminating, Demystifying Diversity penetrates one of the most pressing issues of our day, and shines a spotlight on the taboos we often shy away from."
